Paige's 2020 Senior *Spokesmodel* Session!

Paige's Fisher Farm 2020 BVP Senior Spokesmodel Session left us all jumping up and down in excitement with each twirl of her perfectly planned flowy light blue dress among the fields, and toss of her beautiful dark brown hair along with her ever so spunky, yet positive and down to earth, personality! When walking through the planning process of Paige's BVP Senior Session Experience, we wanted to make sure to include a nature feel along with some gorgeously tan fields in her session to compliment each perfectly planned out outfit; and I have to say, everything was executed perfectly!

But more than the outfits and the backgrounds, the most important thing to remember when planning your Senior Session Experience, is to let your true personalty shine through!! Paige was a shining example (pun totally intended) of this imperative element! From her completely kind and self proclaimed goofy personality, to the amazing amounts of school and community involvement (Chemistry Club, Debate Club, Beta Club, Swimming + Teaching Swimming, Young Life, all while holding down a J-O-B, and much much more!) Paige, you are truly one of kind and I am so honored to share your fabulousness with the world! I am so beyond excited for your Senior Year, and for all of the fun and fabulous perks coming your way for your BVP 2020 Senior Spokesmodel Experience!! It's going to be your best year yet!! Congratulations Class of 2020!! This is YOUR year!!!

Megan + Colton's Blacksburg Country Club Wedding

Megan + Colton's Blacksburg Country Club wedding was a beautiful fulfillment of dreams; both Megan & Colton’s, along with every wedding photographer’s sunset photo goals … ever! Among all of the wedding planning, perfectly chosen wedding dress, details that beautifully and meaningfully framed the journey that Megan and Colton had been on, and the adventure that they were embarking on together, there was a story beneath it all that was so eloquently played out and highlighted in the incredible blessing of a sunset as God painted THE most gorgeous background over Megan & Colton’s incredibly special day! Watching Megan and Colton’s entire love story unfold over the years from behind the scenes as a close friend to Megan, only made the honor of photographing this indescribably special day for her and Colton that much sweeter!

The gorgeous Blacksburg Country Club wedding venue that Colton & Megan chose to forever hold a special place in their hearts as they said their “I Do’s”, couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop to highlight the incredible love between these two! The tables were set, the candles were lit, the wedding cake and cupcake towers were looking delightfully delicious, and the hearts of Colton and Megan, along with their loving families, were anxiously awaiting the moment of hearing those two preciously life changing little words.

Megan and Colton’s Engagement Session, held last fall (check it out here), now seemed a distant memory, but was a sweet taste of forever, as their love danced among the trees in Cornelius, North Carolina; now making their final home in the beautiful mountains of Virginia, Megan and Colton’s Happily Ever After was finally here! 

From the tender first look with Megan’s Dad, Sean, as memories of first holding his sweet baby girl in his arms, to glimpses of each year gone by, moment by moment came rushing to the forefront as he took in the beauty of his now grown daughter on her wedding day, to quietly observing the incredible love of Megan and Colton’s first look, as they locked eyes for the very first time and saw the incredible promise of their future together . . . tears were impossible to hold back, by these incredible souls, and all of us who had the honor of capturing it all! 

With a slow, excited, butterfly inducing walk down the aisle, it was finally coming true. Everything God had promised, the fulfillment of so many prayers and blessings…everything in this moment was exactly as it was meant to be. The wedding ceremony, solidified by their first official kiss and step as husband and wife, led to a joyous celebration over it all during the beautifully detailed wedding reception. 

All of these incredible, one of kind moments of the day, led up to God’s celebration and blessing over their union, as our sunset photos were an entirely different level of magical. The photos don’t even do it justice (and I say that so humbly as a photographer), but it truly seemed as if God opened up the skies, and let just a little piece of Heaven radiate through over Colton and Megan. We were speechless as the skies transformed and hugged the beautiful life they had built together thus far, and blessed the path that they were now on together. 

The journey as husband and wife as only just begun for Colton and Megan Bavery, but the promise of what is to come, is more beautiful than any of us can truly comprehend. 

Congratulations Megan & Colton, we love you both so much!

Lea's Vesuvius Vineyards Mother's Day Surprise Session

When Lea came to me and presented all of her fabulous details and ideas for THE sweetest Mother's Day Surprise Session, my heart, as well as the ‘anything is possible’ photographers gene inside, leapt for complete joy! 

Traditionally a gorgeous North Carolina wedding venue, offering it’s guests a glimpse of a far off land right here in Iron Station, North Carolina, Vesuvius Vineyards was THE perfect location for Lea’s surprise Mother’s Day portrait session! As bride and grooms excitedly stand together embarking on lifetime memories as they say their “I Do’s” along the luscious vineyard and enchanted forest surroundings, Lea created a memory for her Mom and family that will be remembered for generations to come.

Wanting to forever capture a, not just daily happening, of sipping coffee together, but a daily moment by moment fulfillment of the love and incredible bond between a mother and daughter that has raised Lea up into an incredibly Godly, kind, giving and enthusiastically determined woman built one conversation, one hug, and one eskimo kiss at a time, Lea’s Mother’s Day Surprise Portrait Session was born. 

Joining only in picture form, but felt fully in spirit, “Granna”, Lea’s Grandmother, and Libba’s Mother, created a generational legacy for the incredible  noteworthiness of capturing photos of those you love, and being able to instantly feel connected through the story of a different place in time. You see, how we love others, how we raise our children and treasure our spouse come from so much more than just ourselves. These are generational observances, in addition to fully understanding God’s indescribable love for us, that have impacted our hearts in such monumental ways, that now, we have this intrinsic understanding of the right way, the best way to love. 

The incredible woman, Libba, who Lea and Jay have the blessing of calling “Mom” is truly remarkable. Having a subtle way, that only a Mother truly has the skill for, for giving loving wisdom and guidance while still allowing their children to fly, and find their own God given path in this life, the generational love is simply tangible in you, Libba. You are loved so much, by so many, and we hope that you had even a glimpse of just how treasured you are this Mother’s Day! 

Lea, thank you for trusting me with your incredible vision. It is truly an honor to know you, and work alongside you as you discover this incredible season in your life, and the next steps along your God given path!
